Chickens & Chicks

These are our Henny Pennies. They are around 3 months old so they are not laying yet.

The Rhode Island Reds are Reba and Barbra Jean.
The Golden Laced Wyandottes are Mabel and Claire (black and brown).
The Barred Plymouth Rocks are Dottie and Gracie (black with white speckles).

They are well loved and spoiled!



And these are our new chicks from Meyer Hatchery. They arrived last Thursday. They are already being loved and spoiled! No names yet, but we are calling them Henny Penny(ies) as well. We use that as a group name that they will all respond to. Eventually they will get individual names, once we get to know them.



We have 1 White Leghorn, 1 Cuckoo Maran, 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 2 Welsummer, and 3 Easter Eggers.

I can't wait until they are old enough to play outside! It will be quite awhile until they will be introduced to our original 6 hens. For now they get handled and loved on on a daily basis for soon they will grow out of this adorable baby stage. *Sigh*
